With an aim to increase its presence in the Indian market, Germany-based airline and e-ticketing major Hahn Air, which works with IATA (International Air Transport Association) affiliated agents from across the world, is encouraging all India-based IATA agents to process their tickets through Hahn Air medium. Currently, out of the 4,000 IATA agents in India, 3,000 of these agents conduct their e-ticketing business through Hahn Air, while remaining 1,000 agents use the consolidator route for the same. In order to bring in the remaining agents under its banner, it has shortlisted about 400 agents from across the country, and aims to have these agents onboard by this year-end. Thereafter, the remaining 600 agents will also be included in a phased manner.
Hahn Air provides airline tickets of 223 airlines internationally. It plans to educate the Indian market about its network and partner airlines. For the same, it recently conducted two road shows in Mumbai and Delhi. It also organised an award ceremony in Mumbai commemorating the performance of its travel agent partners. |
