Hamburg turns focus to Indian film production houses

With an aim to exchange information and experiences with regards to culture, media and film industry, as well as to network with the Indian production houses in view of possible co-operation in future, a 14-member delegation from Hamburg is currently in Mumbai and will be holding meetings with representatives of Studio 18, Yash Raj Studios, Lumiere and National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC). The delegates will inform representatives of the production houses on film funding and opportunities for producing and shooting in Hamburg and North Germany. The delegation is also aiming at attracting young Indian film makers to select Hamburg as their shooting locations along with highlighting various professional courses offered by multiple film making institutes in Hamburg.

Eva Hubert, Executive Director, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein (FFHSH) said, “FFHSH provides support for low and high-budget feature films and TV productions of exceptional quality. We are going to hold dialogues with various production houses in India to educate and inform them about the various scenic locations of Hamburg and Northern Germany.
