HDIL Leisure, a subsidiary of Housing Development Limited (HDIL) plans to foray into the hospitality industry with the launch of five-star luxury and business hotels. HDIL Leisure has acquired land in areas including Andheri-Kurla Road, Juhu and Bandra-Kurla Complex for developing three hotels.
Speaking exclusively to Travel Biz, Romel Bhog, CEO, HDIL Leisure said, “We are in an advanced stage of discussion with a few renowned brands for management contract of these three hotels. However, we have not yet finalised a time frame by when the hotels will be launched. We look forward to launch the hotels in a phase wise manner.” The average number of rooms will be between 200 and 250. Also, the group is looking for prospective investors for the same.
Elaborating on the move to foray into the hospitality industry Bhog said, “There is a synergy between real estate and hospitality. HDIL is a pioneer in real estate and we have expertise in architectural and technical support, legal back up and an expert designing team. |
