According to the weather forecast in London, the ongoing freeze is likely to continue for four weeks. However, flight operators are saying that flight schedules will go unaffected. The British Airports Authority (BAA), which runs Heathrow, yesterday tweeted that all flights were operating as per schedule. However, the BAA has asked passengers to check their flight status with their respective airlines, according to a report by Hindustan Times.
“Our flights on Monday and Tuesday are on schedule as per the latest update,” said a Kingfisher Airlines spokesperson. A Jet Airways spokesperson also said that their flights were on schedule. While all departures were on time, an incoming Air India flight was delayed. Travel agents said although massive flight disruptions earlier this week had triggered panic among passengers set to travel to London in the next few days, no cancellations were reported. |
