Hertz Holiday Drives, the self drive holiday arm of Hertz car rental company has decided to foray in the Indian market with its self drive programmes by January 2010. The company will operate in the Indian market through Discover The World Marketing (DTWM), its General Sales Agent (GSA). DTWM has identified Hertz’s self drive itineraries to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, US and Switzerland. for India. Presently, the company is in talks with South African Airlines to introduce Fly-Drive programmes in India. It is also planning to initiate similar partnerships with other airlines.
DTWM will launch semi-drive and drive with accommodation itineraries and will work on a B2B strategy to sell the products. “Since several travel agents already have contractual agreements with their hotel partners, our semi-drive itineraries will provide them with cars and route suggestions,” informed Mark Mendes, Country Director- India, Discover The World Marketing. It has designed individual drive holiday itineraries for Great Ocean Road in Australia, Garden Route and Johannesburg to Kruger route in South Africa, Route 66 in US. In the US, |
