Hilton Worldwide to launch its six international brands in India by 2011

Looks at management contracts and franchisee agreements for expansion

Hilton Worldwide will expand its brand presence in the Indian market by launching six of its international brands, ranging from budget to super luxury hotels, in the next one year. The six international brands include: Waldorf Astoria, Conrad Residencies, Hilton, Double Tree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton. Apart from the two hotels already operational in Delhi, these brands will be developed in Chennai, Bengaluru and Gurgaon. The three brands which will be launched initially include: Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Double Tree by Hilton. The company will look at management contracts and franchisee agreements for expanding its presence in the country.

Speaking about the location of the three brands, Neeraj Chadha, Regional General Manager – India, Hilton Worldwide stated that Hilton will be launched in Chennai; Conrad Residences in Bengaluru and Hilton Garden Inn and Double Tree by Hilton in Gurgaon. The total inventory across all brands will be more than 1,200 rooms in the next one year. Besides, Hampton will be promoted largely as a franchise brand in India.
