| | Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) recently held a review meeting with travel trade partners in Delhi, wherein Hong Kong Tourism unveiled a new promotion theme for 2010- Festive Hong Kong 2010. Anthony Lau, Executive Director, HKTB informed that the entire year will be divided into six different seasons for focused promotions in overseas markets. Chinese New Year celebrations will be promoted in January and February; Traditional Festivals during April – May; Spectacular Summer in July-August; Halloween Treats during September – October; Wine and Dine month in November; and Winter Fest in December.
Lau added that the Indian market had given good returns to Hong Kong in spite of the recessionary trends. “Inbound from India increased almost five per cent last year. The tourist arrivals from India were steady throughout, but for a brief period the country was under H1N1 Influenza scare. We have immense confidence in this market and are looking at double digit growth this year,” added Lau. | | Read complete story >> (You need to login first to read complete story). New User?
