The police administration of Jamshedpur has asked all hotels to install CCTV cameras as a measure of safety and security of general public and combat any untoward incident. For the same, a meeting was organised by Jamshedpur Hotelier’s Association, an apex body of hoteliers, at Hotel Meridian.
According to a report in securityinfowatch.com, Prabhakar Singh, President, Jamshedpur Hotelier’s Association, said that the hotels in Jamshedpur have always been co-operating with the local administration and on a daily basis and the details of the guests are sent to the local police station.
Jatin Narwal, SP, Jamshedpur said that hotels should join hands with the police to fight crime. Hotels must take steps and install CCTV cameras that should at least cover entry and exit areas and they have to keep the recording for 30 days.
He said that hotels should also furnish the details of the guests and occupancy to the local police station and also ensure that every guest is identified along with age. In case of foreign nationals, receptionists should verify the genuineness of visa and passport. |
