In a bid to promote the cultural aspect of Rajasthan, Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR) is in talks with Department of Tourism (DoT), Government of Rajasthan to organise a month long cultural event in the state during Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2010. Besides, HRAR will also organise a B2B seminar in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) during CWG 2010 for travel suppliers (travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers, attraction operators, etc.) focusing on opportunities in tourism and the best way to tap it.
Divulging further details, Hemant Mittal, President, HRAR said, “As an association, we are looking at various avenues to extract opportunities during CWG for the tourism industry in Rajasthan. Known for culture and hospitality, we are keen on promoting these aspects to the visitors during CWG. A month long or 15 days event focused on local culture and handicrafts industry will not only entertain travellers but also attract more visitors to the state.” |
