The Haryana Travel Mart (HTM) is looking at presenting the forthcoming Tourism Fair and Shopping Carnival in Gurgaon as a curtain raiser for the Commonwealth Games 2010. The Tourism Fair will be held on the 26th and 27th of this month at Epicentre, Apparel House in Gurgaon, while the Shopping Carnival will be held during the winter months. Dates have not yet been finalised for the same. For the two-day Tourism Fair about 100 companies, including state tourism boards, resorts, hotels, inbound and outbound tour operators, adventure tour operators, golf clubs, entertainment industry etc. are expected to participate.
Sanjay Sharma, Official Exhibition Co-ordinator, HTM informed that states like Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala Travel Mart have already confirmed their participation in the exhibition. “The fair will be B2C as we are inviting about 200 HR heads and CEOs of corporate companies around Gurgaon to interact with the travel trade industry,” added Sharma. The Tourism Fair will be supported by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India; HRAH; FHRAI; ADTOI, and IATO. |
