IATO planning to organise its annual convention in South India

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) is planning to organise its annual convention during the first week of September this year in any one of the states in South India. The venue of the convention and state has not yet been selected, although several states in South India have come forward to host IATO’s annual convention. However, states like Karnataka and Kerala are being considered frontrunners as venues for the convention. The decision will be officially taken later by IATO’s Convention Core Committee. This information was divulged by Gour Kanjilal, Executive Director, IATO. When contacted, Vijay Thakur, President, IATO said that nothing about the venue of the convention had been sorted out. They will officially come up with the convention details later.
