| | National Aviation Company of India Limited (NACIL) formed after the merger between Air India and Indian Airlines will integrate passenger systems of both these airlines on one single platform. The company that will provide the system (software) to integrate the passenger systems of both these airlines is still under negotiations. The work on the integration process is expected to start as soon as the company and the contract details are finalised.
“The systems of both the airlines are expected to be integrated on one platform by early next year,” informed Jitender Bhargava, Executive Director, Corporate Communications, NACIL. He further added that the system integration of these airlines is a minimum mandate required to be a part of any alliance. Air India is likely to formally join Star Alliance in June 2009. The integration of passenger systems of these two airlines will benefit NACIL in multiple ways. | | Read complete story >> (You need to login first to read complete story). New User?
