IndiaHotelReview.com or IHR, the online travel community and hotel booking portal was recently awarded as the Best travel website of 2008. The award was presented by MetrixLab, a Europe-based global online market research company. According to MetrixLab, the criterion for selection was based on content, navigation, ease of use, and design along with the number of votes received by the website from users across the globe. IndiaHotelReview scored on both the fronts. Other players included Expedia, Makemytrip, Yatra, Air India, KLM, Tripadvisor, Travelocity, Indian Railways and IRCTC.
