Indian Railways to promote steam locomotive tourism

Pitching for regular running of steam locomotives between tourism destinations, Indian Railways yesterday said that it will help preserve the steam heritage of the country as well as boost tourism in the country. "The operation of steam locos between Delhi-Alwar and in hill stations can be a great tourist attraction and we should work for it," said Aswani Lohani, Divisional Rail Manager while addressing the National Steam Congress in New Delhi, according to a PTI report.
