According to a PIB release, the total domestic passengers carried by Indian scheduled airlines in Quarter Three of 2009 – July to September, 2009 - was 107.32 lakh as against 98.22 lakh during January to March, 2009 and 109.38 lakh during April to June, 2009. The break-up for Quarter Three of 2009 (July to September, 2009) is as follows:
Air India (Domestic) – 18.00 lakh, Jet Airways –19.14 lakh, JetLite – 8.18 lakh, Kingfisher Airlines – 24.65 lakh, SpiceJet – 13.57 lakh, Paramount Airways – 2.16 lakh, GoAir – 6.15 lakh, IndiGo – 15.08 lakh.
The total domestic passengers carried by Indian scheduled airlines in the month of September, 2009 were 35.05 lakh. The break-up is as follows:
Air India (Domestic) – 6.14 lakh, Jet Airways – 5.55 lakh, JetLite – 2.71 lakh, Kingfisher Airlines – 8.16 lakh, SpiceJet – 4.61 lakh, Paramount Airways– 0.70 lakh, GoAir – 2.04 lakh, IndiGo – 5.01 lakh.
The percentage share of the carriers in the month of September, 2009 was:
Air India (Domestic) – 17.5 per cent, Jet Airways – 15.8 per cent, JetLite – 7.7 per cent, Kingfisher Airlines– 23.3 per cent, SpiceJet – 13.2 per cent, |
