Infinity Hotels Pvt. Ltd. which owns restaurants, Cafe Basilico and Koyla, plans to open its first hotel ‘Basilico House’ in Goa by January 2011. The approximate investment for the project is Rs four crore. Plans are afoot to open a second outlet of Koyla (North West frontier cuisine) in Andheri, Mumbai by next month, as well as Pune and Delhi in future. However, negotiations are on to franchise Cafe Basilico in Jaipur and Hyderabad. Presently, Koyla is operational at Colaba and Cafe Basilico at Colaba and Bandra in Mumbai.
Abu Farhan Azmi, CEO, Infinity Hotels said, “We have bought a Portuguese bungalow (with four rooms) for Rs 1,75,00,000 at a village called Pilerne in North Goa three years back. The property is spread across 22,000 sq ft. We have retained the old structure and added six more rooms. ‘Basilico House’ is an extension of our brand Basilico. Basilico House with ten luxurious rooms, spa, swimming pool, Cafe Basilico and Koyla, will be a boutique hotel targeted to leisure clients. We have not yet decided on the room tariff but it will be around Rs 12,000 – Rs 14,000. |
