ITB Asia 2010 demand surges with sales up by 15 per cent

Early indications are that ITB Asia 2010, which will be held from October 20-22, 2010 at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition & Convention Centre, will grow strongly this year making it the largest ITB Asia since the event launched in Singapore in 2008. Messe Berlin (Singapore), the event organiser, has positioned ITB Asia as ‘The Trade Show for the Asian Travel Market’, wherein it is expecting close to 700 buyers to attend the event. ITB Asia 2010 is supported by the Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau.

As per the release, around 15 per cent more floor space has been sold so far this year, compared to same period last year. Hundreds of exhibitors have booked early to secure preferred floor positions. Demand from Asia is leading the global travel industry recovery. “That confidence and growth is manifesting itself in floor space requirements that are above our expectations,” said Nino Gruettke, Executive Director, ITB Asia.
