ITB Asia 2010 to focus on MICE, leisure and corporate travel

To witness 30 per cent increase in exhibitors

ITB Asia, a B2B trade show for the Asia Pacific market, this year will be held from October 20-22 at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore. The trade show will witness 30 per cent new exhibitors this year, and will focus on MICE, leisure and corporate travel buyers predominantly from Asia, Oceania and Middle East and select buyers from other key source markets like USA and Europe.

Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor during the sidelines of the road show held recently in Mumbai, Nino Gruettke, Executive Director, Messe Berlin (Singapore) and Head of ITB Asia said, “ITB Asia received more bookings this year than the past year. The focus of ITB Asia this year will be on the three key industry segments – MICE, corporate travel, and leisure. Close to 70 per cent of the exhibitors and buyers come from the ASEAN region.”

From the Indian market, the company has witnessed a positive response in the registration received for the trade show which will include a mix of participants from various sectors of the travel industry.
