Jammu and Kashmir govt decides to notify hotel tariff rates in September every year

According to a PTI report, the Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to notify the hotel tariff rates on an annual basis for the benefit of tourists. The decision was taken recently at a meeting of officers and representatives of hotel industry, which was presided over by Nawang Rigzin Jora, Tourism Minister, Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the meeting, Jora asked the industry representatives to improve infrastructure and logistic facilities available to tourists.

Nasir Aslam Wani, Minister of State for Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir who was also present during the occasion said that the state government will review the tariff rates every year in September and notify the same consequently. Besides, it was also decided that the registration of overcharging hotels will be cancelled.
