Jammu and Kashmir govt launches Hover rafting to promote tourism sector in state

According to a PTI report, in order to give a fillip to the tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir, the state government has introduced Hover rafting on River Tawi in the state. Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Jammu and Kashmir said that the state government is introducing new activities in a bid to fully tap tourism potential of the state.

Jora mentioned that the state government will encourage public-private partnership to promote tourism in the state, adding that, all logistic and financial support with incentives will be provided to persons interested in setting up their ventures in the sector. He added that the state government will consider extending the adventure sport on other rivers of Kashmir and Ladakh to encourage more domestic and foreign adventure lovers to visit the state.
