According to an IANS report, Jet Airways yesterday announced that it will connect its daily Gulf services to Dhaka via Mumbai from September 15, 2009. The airline will launch new daily direct service on the Mumbai-Dhaka-Mumbai sector, effective September 15, 2009. This will be the airline’s third daily service to Bangladesh from India and will connect travellers to and from the Gulf with Dhaka via Mumbai.
The flight arriving from the Gulf will depart from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 8.40 a.m. and arrive at Dhaka’s Zia International Airport at 1 p.m. The return flight will depart from Dhaka at 3.30 p.m. and arrive in Mumbai at 5 p.m. The airline currently flies daily from Delhi and Kolkata to Dhaka. It also flies to eight destinations in the Gulf region - Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Riyadh and Dubai - from several Indian cities.
Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways said, “With the launch of this service, passengers from Bangladesh can avail of our international services to North America, Europe and the Gulf, as well as ASEAN destinations, via our hubs in Mumbai and Delhi.” |
