J&K Tourism Minister announces assistance for tour operators in Delhi for state specific ad campaigns

During an interactive seminar organised by Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Alliance (JKTA) in New Delhi recently, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Tourism & Culture, Government of Jammu & Kashmir announced that the Ministry will give special assistance to tour operators of Delhi for placing exclusive advertisements on Jammu & Kashmir in national newspapers. However, he did not specify the amount or the percentage of the cost of placing the advertisement that the state tourism department would share with the tour operators. He also informed that the state would host the annual conference of Adventure Tours Operators Association of India (ATOAI) scheduled to be held in September 2011.

Devesh Chaturvedi, Additional Director General (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism (MoT), Government of India and Chairman, ICPB, informed that MoT will share 33 per cent of the cost with Jammu
