Travel and social networking-cum-informative website JoGuru.com which went live two months ago, will be launched for global travellers on July 14, 2012. The website will allow travellers to connect with other tourists and find information about their desired destinations by creating their own account. JoGuru.com focuses on making online search quick and easy, and allows seeking travel information. Praveen Kumar, CEO, JoGuru, said, “As a traveller, everyone wants to have information to where the person is planning his or her trip and that is where our role comes to play. We launched the beta (pilot project) version of the site in May 2012 and till date we have received about 10,000 individual users, beside generating 60,000 page views in two months from the Indian market. Having observed such a good response, we intend to launch our site on a global platform and aim to attract around one lakh account holders by end 2012.”
The website’s features include collaborative search platform, social trip planner, ask an expert forum, city pages and addas – the local hangout places. As per the company's plan, six new features will be added to the site in the next six months, which will include, info back pack, local lingo, buyers central, etc. “We intend to be in the informative stage, as a reason we will soon be having information on more than 1000 cities by the end of July, 2012, comprising 100-150 cities from India. Besides this we will be announcing a complete hardcore travellers game,” added Kumar.
