Kadavu Resorts to develop five-star hotel cum convention centre at Wayanad, Kerala

Calicut- based hotel company Kadavu Resorts has decided to expand its presence in the Kerala hospitality sector. The company is in the process of developing a five-star hotel cum convention centre at Wayanad, Kerala. This will be the first convention centre in this region of the state. The property is spread across 20 acres of land and is expected to be operational by December 2011. Kadavu Resorts will incur an investment of Rs 50 crore for the development.

The hotel will consist of 86 cottages and 100 rooms and the convention centre will have four conference halls, each accommodating 1,500 persons, 500 persons, 300 persons and 100 persons. “We saw the potential to develop a convention facility which would attract MICE Tourism in this region. We also expect this facility to help the hospitality players of the entire Wayanad region as this area is already becoming increasingly popular as a tourist destination,” stated N K Mohammad, Chairman & Managing Director, Kadavu Resorts.
