Kanakia Hospitality forays into hospitality segment with Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport

Also plans to open three hotels in next three years

Kanakia Hospitality, hospitality arm of real estate developer Kanakia Spaces Pvt. Ltd., has forayed into the Indian hospitality segment with the launch of their first property ‘Courtyard by Marriott, Mumbai International Airport’ with 331 rooms in Mumbai. The property is owned by Kanakia Spaces and managed by Courtyard by Marriott and has been set up with an approximate investment of Rs 240 crore. Kanakia Spaces has identified three more land parcels in Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Goa to develop hotels. However, this is the first Courtyard by Marriott in Mumbai and sixth in the country. Presently, Courtyard by Marriott is operational in Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Gurgaon.

In the first phase, 292 rooms will be operational. The tariff for the hotel is Rs 7,500. As far as F&B offerings are concerned, the hotel has 24X7 coffee shop, ‘MoMo Café’, MoMo 2 Go, Red Zen, pool bar and MoMo 2 You. The hotel also has a fitness centre, swimming pool, business centre, banquet and spa (to be launched in June 2010).
