| | In a bid to intensify the destination knowledge of Kerala, the tourism board - Kerala Tourism will launch its destination specialist programme in the UK market in the next two months. As reported by TravelBiz Monitor in May 2009, the programme will be undertaken on an online platform and Kerala Tourism is currently working on forming the programme content. The tourism board will give a brand name to the specialist programme once the programme content is finalised. For the content, it is looking at highlighting various destinations, features, products and hotel properties, with a strong emphasis on home stays and houseboat accommodation.
Furthermore, Kerala Tourism has also tied up with a UK-based TravelUni, an online training programme facilitator to conduct the programme in the UK market.
