| | Experiential Tourism is the latest trend, which is fast picking up in the Indian market with travellers now being open to experience the destination rather than only seeing it. In order to cater to this trend, travel stakeholders Kuoni, Cox & Kings and Club Med have introduced Gourmet tours to France in association with Maison de la France (MDLF). A Gourmet tour brochure was launched by each of these three stakeholders recently at L'Aperitif a la Francaise event, which was held at Novotel Juhu Beach, Mumbai. L’ Aperitif a la Francaise is an initiative organised by Sopexa India (Indian arm of France's F&B promotion and marketing board) and supported by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. L'Aperitif a la Francaise is an annual event, which is conducted in 21 countries, 37 cities with an aim to promote French gourmet foods, wines and spirits.
The Gourmet Tours are targeted at niche tourists with customized packages.
