Macau-based Low Cost Carrier (LCC) Viva Macau Airlines plans to fly to India and is looking at major cities including Mumbai and New Delhi, informed Con Korfiatis, CEO of Viva Macau Airlines. The airline is likely to start flights by second half of this year. “We have been watching India closely as a high potential market and we believe Macau, as Asia’s newest destination for leisure, entertainment, shopping, events and conferences, offers an exciting new destination with great attractions for Indian travellers. We are already seeing more and more Indian visitors to Macau, and with direct Viva Macau Airlines flights, Macau will be even more convenient to visit with our low air fares We are also looking at other points in countries we currently serve, as well as the Middle East and Russia,” he said.
Viva Macau will also work closely with Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) in promoting Macau as tourist destination. “We have been working closely with MGTO in promoting Macau to our current routes including Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan. We have run major joint road shows, |
