| | Louis Cruise Lines (LCL) will deploy a cruise-ship in Kochi, which will commence operations from the first week of December 2009. LCL will operate three night itineraries each on Kochi – Maldives – Kochi sector and Kochi – Colombo – Kochi sector, as well as one night high sea sailing itinerary. The company is currently in the process of finalising the package cost of these itineraries. LCL will adopt the PSA (Preferred Sales Agents) route to distribute the inventory and is also considering the possibility of direct bookings through the company’s office. The company will set up its headquarters for India in Mumbai and will also have offices in Kochi, Bengaluru, Chennai and New Delhi in the coming months.
Speaking to TravelBiz Monitor, Vijay Puthran, Country Head – Sales and Marketing, Louis Cruise Lines said, “We are still planning out the strategy for our distribution. We will definitely adopt the PSA route and will also have consumer promotions depending on the market requirement.
