| | Lufthansa Passage in India has re-structured its sales network in four cities in India. According to a release from the airline, the city offices in Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad have been closed down from February 6, 2009, but Lufthansa will continue to serve these important cities by its direct sales team consisting of one Sales Manager and four Sales Representatives. Direct phone lines for customers and travel agencies are in place for all customer needs like reservations, ticket services and travel inquiries. This reorganization, according to the airline, adapts to the changed purchasing behaviour of Lufthansa India’s direct customers and supports the travel agents.
The reorganisation reflects also the current economic environment in which Lufthansa India needs to realise cost efficient measures and at the same time improve services to customers. Lufthansa continues to be the leading European carrier serving seven destinations in India by offering 53 daily non-stop flights to Frankfurt and Munich (14 from Delhi, 11 from Mumbai, 7 from Chennai and Bangalore, 6 from Pune, 5 from Hyderabad and 3 from Kolkata). | | Read complete story >> (You need to login first to read complete story).
