In a bid to give boost to tourism within the state, Madhya Pradesh Tourism has launched a unique concept through which it will promote intra-regional tourism through an apt campaign titled 'Aas Pass.' The campaign stresses on encouraging residents of Madhya Pradesh to explore their state. The tourism department is using print and radio channels as a medium to promote tourism through this campaign. “We have introduced this campaign keeping in mind that it will motivate people to travel within Madhya Pradesh and have a first hand experience of the destination offerings,” says Ashwini Lohani, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism.
Further more, to promote intra-regional segment, the tourism department is upgrading tourists sites such as Sanchi, Pawa, Halali, Ortha and Shivpuri with tourist facilities like accommodation, signage along with basic amenities, restaurants, boat clubs and floating restaurants. The tourism department has not yet set a target for intra-regional segment and Lohani refused to divulge the investment for developing these sites. |
