Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd., (MHRIL) one of India’s leading leisure hospitality providers, has announced a strategic alliance with the Government of Uttarakhand for promoting and marketing homestays from various regions of the state. The MoU between MHRIL and the Uttarakhand government was signed to strengthen this joint effort in developing homestays as a unique concept and authentic experience of holidaying across the state, with special focus on developing rural homestays. MHRIL will assist in classifying, rating, branding and marketing the homestays to its members, inbound foreign tourists, FIT Groups and other guests.
Mahindra Homestays was set up to organise the growing homestay industry in India and market it under a strong brand. Since its inception in July 2008, the company has set up a pan-India network of homes to deliver an experience of authentic India through a host- guest interaction. In Uttarakhand, homestays properties are located in Dehradun, Ramnagar, Kaladhungi, Nainital, Jeolikot, Bhimtal, Nighlat, Naukuchiatal amongst others. |
