MakeMyTrip has launched a U.S.-based (New York) operation, IndiaAhoy, a B2B portal which sells India packages exclusively through travel agents and tour operators. According to a recent report in travelweekly.com by Michelle Baran, India Ahoy offers customised packages to India for both group departures and FIT travellers. The gamut of packages include cultural tours, adventure holidays, wildlife safaris, Ayurveda and wellness tours, luxury packages, golf trips, pilgrimages and romantic packages.
Keyur Joshi, COO, makemytrip.com and IndiaAhoy, said the research firm, PhoCusWright helped it put together an advisory council to "help us learn what we need to do to best service U.S. travel sellers." He said, "With their advice, we have created our U.S. portal, IndiaAhoy.com. This site is designed for U.S. travel agents to explore our products, access immediate online support and connect live with our India experts. Agents registered with the site will receive leads when consumers contact the site directly.” |
