Malaysia-based Tune Hotels is gearing up to debut into the Indian hospitality business through franchise and management route by Quarter One of 2011. The maiden property of Tune Hotels is likely to come up in Hyderabad or Bengaluru. This will be followed by Tune Hotels’ expanding in Tier-II and Tier-III locations across India. While the hotel sites are yet to be finalised, initial properties will be located likely in and around Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Pipavav, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirapally. However, Tune Hotels will not be investing any capital to develop hotels in India. The company plans to expand in other key markets such as Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, China and the UK.
