Mercury Car Rentals Ltd (Avis India), one of India’s largest and leading premium car rental services provider, recently won the Second Prize in Category One for ‘Tourist Transport Operator’ for the year 2008 – 2009 at the National Tourism Awards ceremony held in New Delhi. The award was conferred by M Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India. Kumari Selja, Union Minister for Tourism and Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Sultan Ahmed, Union Minister of State for Tourism were also present at the event.
