In a bid to cash in on European destinations that have become extremely value-based and affordable, Mumbai-based, Mercury Travels has introduced innovative packages to European destinations like Germany, Italy, France etc. Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor, Ashwini Kakkar, Executive Vice Chairman, Mercury Travels said, “We are taking advantage of the fact that it is indeed the best time to travel to Europe as hotel rates and air tickets are absolutely value for money. We are encouraging our clients to plunge on this opportunity and are putting in renewed effort to promote Europe as a sought-after destination for this year.” It has introduced new brochures with value-based packages to various European destinations.
Furthermore, the company has also started preparing itself for the fast approaching student and honeymoon season. “We are in the process of conceptualising it at the moment and the details of the packages are being worked upon,” informed Kakkar. For the outbound market, the company is in-line with its set target (5000 passengers) for the summer season.
