Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd (MHRIL), a part of the GBP three billion Mahindra Group, unveiled its new hospitality brand Mahindra Homestays in Delhi on May 15, 2009. Mahindra Homestays provides home stay facilities for tourists all over India. Now, it will provide home stay facilities at twenty five tourist destinations in ten Indian states, including Rajasthan, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Goa and Sikkim et al. Mahindra Homestays has 130 home stays under its umbrella. It plans to increase this number by 350 home stays this year and expects to increase it by 1000 within five years.
All the company’s home stays provide an attractive price: tariff starts from Rs 1200 and average price is Rs 2500. It provides three to four rooms (maximum eight rooms) in its Indian home stays as per each state government’s criteria.
