Ministry of Tourism to add new award categories to National Tourism Awards

The Ministry of Tourism – Government of India will add two new award categories - Best Heritage Walk and Best Heritage City – in the National Tourism Awards 2010-11. The last date of award application submission is January 5, 2012. A source from the Ministry informed that the award - Best Heritage Walk – will honour groups who are promoting heritage walks or walking tours covering heritage destinations. The award - Best Heritage City – will honour the city administration that promotes heritage attractions of their respective city.
