| | With an aim to develop the tourism and hospitality infrastructure in the state, Madhya Pradesh (MP) Tourism is in the process of introducing a new tender, specific for hotel development. This will include two heritage properties and parcels of land across the major tourism destinations in the state. The projects will be developed on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model and the chosen companies will get tax holidays and incentives as specified in the state’s Tourism Policy. The tender is expected to be launched by this month and the bidding process will be open for a month.
According to the new tender, the state has put the Govindgarh Fort in Reva district and the Laxmipur Palace in Panna district on the block. There are plans to develop the two properties into heritage hotels. In order to qualify for developing the two heritage properties, the bidder should have a minimum of three years experience in the hospitality industry and a net worth of Rs two crore.
