| | With reference to The Hindu Business line article, global hotel investment service firm, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels (JLLH), has released a report stating that Mumbai will offer 3000 additional hotel rooms by 2011. This will be in correspondence with rising demand, specifically business clientele.
Global giants Four Seasons and Accor with Softel are poised to enter the market. “The majority of this new supply (about 51 per cent) is anticipated in 2008,’’ the report said. It noted that the city witnessed about 7.3 million international tourist arrivals in 2006-07, recording a growth of 9.2 per cent over the previous year. The leisure segment is expected to grow steadily.
