Mumbai-based Blue Square Consultants plans strategies to promote Oman in India

In order to promote Oman as a premium niche destination to the Indian outbound market, Mumbai-based Blue Square Consultants, recently appointed as representation for Oman Tourism in India, is now planning various marketing strategies. The company is aiming at targeting high-end FIT and MICE travellers from the Indian market. Initially the company will look at promoting cities like Muscat, Salalah and Musandam for adventure activities along with shopping and cultural tours. Currently, the company is strengthening itself on the B2B level and will later tap the B2C space through marketing and promotional activities.

Lubaina Sheerazi, Representative – India, Oman Tourism said, “Oman offers dry wadis and lush green oases, plains and mountains, sand and sea that gives plenty of scope for relaxation, adventure and entertainment activities. Currently, Oman receives good number of business and VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) traffic from India. But in order to increase tourist arrivals, we are going to position the country as a niche destination to high-end travellers like FITs (honeymooners, families and adventure seekers) and MICE.
