| | Post state elections, Bina Kak has been appointed the new Tourism Minister of Rajasthan. “The Minister recently took a meeting of the State Tourism Department officials to get a first-hand-update on the department’s activities and plans. She emphasised on the fact that the security of the tourists and visitors to the state must receive high priority learning a lesson from the recent Mumbai terror attacks” said, Jagdeep Singh, Media Spokesperson, Rajasthan Tourism.
Singh further informed, “In the meeting, the Minister announced that the state tourism department will soon have a meeting with the Government’s law and order agencies to make a foolproof blueprint for the security of hotels and monuments. She also stressed upon calling for a meeting with private hotels to sensitise them about the security measures.” The Minister also took an update of the Rajgramiya Cooperative Society Scheme and the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB).
