Rural Tourism – Miles to Go…

Recently we visited three Rural Tourism sites.
One is great. The second has potential, possibly even great potential, if properly nurtured. The third has been wrongly sited, has cockeyed ‘facilities,’ and suffers from a grievous lack of dedicated and informed supervision, and this third one has been given the National Award for Rural Tourism!
Having said that, we believe that Rural Tourism is a great idea. We have 4,635 ethnic communities who live in about 2,20,000 villages in our land.
