OTMPC launches an India specific website for travel trade

To promote Ontario province in collaboration with CTC

Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) recently launched an India specific website, www.ontariotravel.net/india for the travel trade to provide them with information related to the destination. The Corporation is going to promote the province in India by working closely with Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) and partnering with them for travel trade and media initiatives for the first couple of years.

OTMPC is going to focus on key source markets like Mumbai and New Delhi in India with products like the city of Toronto, Niagara Falls and the Eastern Ontario region. India is placed at number six for the province of Ontario with regards to tourist arrivals, with 47 per cent of visitors in the VFR category. Approximately 80,000 Indian visited Ontario province in 2008. The top five markets for Ontario are UK, Japan, Germany, France and Mexico.
