Outbound Marketing: Mastering the representation business

From tough beginnings in 2002 with few clients and limited budgets, Outbound Marketing has grown with a strong client base and offices in three Indian cities, Krupa Vora tracks down the growth of Outbound Marketing

It was in 2002 that Vasudha Sondhi, a professional-turned-entrepreneur launched Outbound Marketing with an objective to offer services for sales and marketing solutions to various verticals of the travel and tourism industry like hotels chains, airlines, cruise companies, destination management companies, tourism boards and car rental companies to market themselves in the Indian market. Commenting on how Outbound Marketing was launched, Vasudha Sondhi, Managing Director, Outbound Marketing said, “We realised that there would be a huge requirement for professionals to provide strategic solutions to international travel companies and it was the perfect time to venture into the representation business for the travel industry.” Since its inception in 2002, Outbound Marketing has been affiliated to Connect Worldwide and it also specialises in representing luxury products within the scope of the travel and hospitality industry. Connect Worldwide is an international travel sales and marketing representation company with a network spread out in more than 30 countries.
