Paramount Airways announces decision to pay three per cent commission to agents on gross fare

Associations put off parliament march scheduled on 15th to organise mass meeting on the same date

Paramount Airways one of the few domestic carriers which did not implement zero commission regime and continued paying agents five per cent commission took a decision recently to pay three per cent commission on gross fare. The airline’s decision to pay three per cent commission was conveyed to Biji Eapen, President, IAAI through an official letter sent today. A top level official from Paramount Airways stated that airline has agreed to pay three per cent commission to agents as they wanted to maintain parity with Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines.

Anil Kalsi, Chairman - Northern Region, TAAI said that it is good that the airline has extended its support to agents by offering three per cent commission and not implementing zero commission regime. According to Rajii Rai, President, TAAI, the Association has not received any confirmation in writing from Paramount Airways.
