Radisson Delhi to develop eight new hotels

A B Hotels-promoted The Radisson Delhi plans to invest Rs 800 crore within a span of four years to open eight more hotels in India under Radisson, Park Plaza and Country Inn brands. The investment will come from the company's internal accrual and debt.

The new hotels will be set up at Bhubaneshwar, Chilka Lake, Hyderabad, Konark, Puri, Paradip, Visakhapatnam, and Kakinada. The hotels at Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad and Kakinada will come under the Radisson brand (five star), while the other five will be under the Park Plaza (mid-premium) and Country Inn (mid-economy) brands.

Currently, the company operates two Radisson Hotels in Delhi and Varanasi, with an inventory of 400 rooms. The company plans to increase the number to 1,000 rooms, with the new hotels. The company is also undertaking a Rs 100 crore renovation of the existing Radisson in Delhi and repositioning it in the five star deluxe segment as 'Radisson Plaza'.
