Rajasthan CM seeks central assistance for facilities at Pushkar, Ajmer, Jaisalmer

At a meeting held yesterday in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in Jaipur between Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister, Rajasthan and Sultan Ahmed, Union Minister of State for Tourism, Gehlot sought assistance from the Centre for developing basic infrastructure facilities at tourists’ spots in the state.

According to a UNI report, during the meet, the Chief Minister sought assistance from the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) for developing basic facilities at tourist spots in Pushkar, Ajmer, Jaisalmer and other districts. Gehlot briefed the Union Minister over prospects and potentials at famous havelis, forts, palaces, religious places and sanctuaries. “Lakhs of foreign and domestic tourists do visit Rajasthan every year and the state has potential for development in tourism,” said Gehlot. Ahmed assured the Chief Minister of the Centre's full cooperation in developing places having potential for tourism. He said that he will discuss with Ajmer Collector the issue of due development of places having prospects for Religious Tourism during his Ajmer visit.
