The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) recently held its elections for the office bearers of its various international chapters at Alexandria in USA. At the elections, Rajeev Kohli, Director Marketing, Creative Travel was elected President of ASTA India Chapter. Other office bearers elected for the India Chapter are: Gajendra Singh Panwar, Director, Indo Asia Leisure Services as Vice President; Vishwas Makhija, President, Luxury India Holidays as Secretary and Sanjeev Joshi, Director, Tourism India Management Enterprises as Treasurer of ASTA India Chapter for the year 2009-2011. The newly elected office bearers will be committed to promote India in America and vice versa. They also have a strong agenda of training and manpower development for its members. ASTA India Chapter also plans to organise educational events and seminars regularly with commercial and political key note speakers from the ASTA headquarters. These seminars will include dedicated business to business workshop sessions. |
