Rajindera Kumar takes over as FHRAI President

Rajindera Kumar, Director, The Ambassador Hotel, New Delhi has taken over as the President of Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) for the year 2009-10. Kumar was the Vice President of the Association for the last two years. A known face of the hospitality industry of North India, Kumar was President of Hotel & Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI) and also holds various positions in the Board of Directors of various tourism and hospitality institutions in North India.

Suresh Talera (Hotel Woodland Pune); Rajesh Mishra (Hotel North Star Darjeeling); and M P Purushothaman (Empee Group of Hotels Chennai) are the new Vice Presidents; while Vivek Nair (The Leela Group) has joined as the Honorary Secretary of the Executive Committee. K Syama Raju (Hotel Maurya, Bengaluru) and Rattan Marothia (Hotel Jagannath, Kolkata) have been appointed as the Joint Secretary and Treasurer of the new committee.

The new Executive Committee in its first meeting has decided to re-instate Harish Sud as Secretary General, whose service was terminated by the past President few months back.
